Amber Retreat first opened its doors in 2009 after being rebuilt as a modified traditional saltbox with coastal interior decor.  Set in quiet Lower Jenkins’ Cove in Durrell Twillingate, this is a place of peace and tranquility. It is the ideal romantic getaway or couples’ vacation for up to 4 people.

The exterior was designed by Philip Pratt who also designed The Rooms (provincial art gallery and museum) in St. John’s.

Amenities

Amber Retreat has two large bedrooms with a queen-sized bed and en-suite bathroom each.  The bathrooms, in particular, resembles the perfect retreat: double bath tub or oversized shower. Downstairs is a half-bathroom.

Rates

Minimum 3 night booking.

Peak Season (May to September) :

  • $200 per night (based on up to 4-person occupancy)
  • $15 per additional guest (6 total maximum)
  • 7-day week rate: $1250.00

Shoulder Season (April and October):

  • $150 per night (based on up to 4-person occupancy)
  • $15 per additional guest (6 total maximum)
  • 7-day week rate: $950

Closed November to March.

Refund Policy

  • Cancellation up to 60 days prior to arrival, 100% refund less $25 admin fee
  • Cancellation 59 to 7 days prior to arrival, 50% refund
  • Cancellation less than 7 days prior to arrival no refund

Terms & Conditions

  • Arrival time 3:30 p.m. earliest.  Notice of late arrival
  • Check-out time prior to 11:00 a.m.
  • No smoking
  • Smoke sanitation fee of $200 will be levied
  • No pets
  • Payment in full prior to arrival.  50% upon reservation and 50% 60 days prior to arrival
